Feeling Fancy: My Wedding Congratulations from the President

March 9, 2010

Some of you married ladies may have this already, but I wanted to share with you my wedding thank you from the White House.

Every time I look at it, I feel awesome and important – Chic ‘n Cheap Living – the dignitary, haha.Β  It came a little late (maybe 3 months later?) but was awaiting me when I visited my parents in NYC.Β  It’s something about the letterpressed seal or the signatures that make me feel nice.Β  If I had just sent this a little earlier and got some presidential attendees, that would have been the cream cheese frosting on the cake.

Anyway just an idea if you have an extra invite and want something for the scrapbook!

If you want to send the president a wedding invitation, see my original post here.

This is so great and something that I forgot to do during the madness of our wedding. I also heard that if you send one to Disney, you get a letter back from Mickey and Minnie. I think that’s super cute πŸ˜‰

Yay!! I really wanted to do this, and then it became one of those to-do list items that fell through the cracks. I looked it up online, and I *think* newlywed couples can still get some kind of congratulations card. Such an amazing piece of history to have!! Treasure it πŸ™‚

Ah! I wanted to do this and never got around to it (and we really didn’t care for a GWB letter) but I might send one to the Obamas this year. Nice for the scrapbook!

Hahaha this is so awesome! I love it. What a cute and special keepsake for your wedding album. And definitely something to show the kids and grandkids one day. I think it’s even more special because it comes from such a historical president.

Crap…now I want to get married within the next few years so I can get one from Obama! Eep! LOL!
