Dreaming/Decor Thoughts: A wraparound pool seamlessly joins the indoors and outdoors

July 15, 2010

I saw these images and let out a little gasp.  This is a house in Singapore and of course nowhere near where I live (though it’s not a big country!)  I love the seamless transition from the indoors to outdoors and the unique wraparound pool.
This is undeniably chic and probably quite pricey.  But oh I can dream.

That and find the owners so I can be friends with them.

I’d change a few small things, like taking the tree out of that little island indoors (what if I just want to lie down) and make a long lane for swimming laps (I like to throw in at least a little functionality).

I love how you can see the pool from the second level.

The ceiling is also pretty amazing. I’d choose different furniture and get a tv stand!

This house is amazing! I’m not usually drawn to such clean, modern lines but something about this house works for me. Maybe because of the wraparound pool. I agree that the tree on the island probably needs to go!

Nice house but a tad too ultra modern for my taste. Have a happy day!;-)

YES PLEASE. That is one of the most fabulous houses I’ve ever seen. TOTALLY my style.

I want to live there. Right now.

Ohh, that pool is awesome! And I actually kind of like the tree. I don’t think I’d want to live in a place this modern but I’d love to vacation in a house like that!

Wow. I can’t think of anything to say but ‘amazing’. I need to rethink my dream house – I was not dreaming big enough before.

Oh wow, this is utterly, utterly stunning. Just imagine living in a house like this… I’ve seen a similar one in Brasil – might even be the same architect.

This is like my dream home! I love the openness of the design, and the way it mixes in natural elements like the water and the trees with its ultra modern lines.

I don’t think me and this house would get along. I have a habit of wandering aimlessly while reading things and am constantly running into doorjams or tripping up the stairs. I think I might be constantly falling into this pool.

  • THE ALTERNATIVE WIFE July 19, 2010 at 13:48

Wow now that is a house!!! I agree with the little modifications you would make but overall it’s spectacular! 🙂
