Photo Love: Out in the wide sea, but still finding connections

July 5, 2010
Eventually everything connects – people, ideas, objects. The quality of the connections is the key to quality per se.

I loved the vastness of the ocean in this picture and also the proximity of these boats to each other in such a large space.  We each go about our lives, living it the best way we can.  It can seem vast and almost overwhelming in the world out there (especially when you’re in a new and foreign place like we are).  But then we pass by others who we can really make a connection with, and the world seems a bit smaller and more manageable.
We met a funny and lovely American who was the manager at the bar for my friend’s wedding after party.  It was fun to compare and contrast our Asian and American experiences.  It’s always nice to share laughs with a new friend.  In a different country, 8000 miles away, we made the connection to each other and to a place far away.

It can sometimes be hard to find new people who you can connect with, but is always a nice surprise when it happens. Those new connections definitely make for a more fun ride through life.

Hope you have a lovely week!

That’s really one thing to be thankful for… seldom do we meet somebody who we can easily connect with and when we do, that is priceless. Have a great week! xoxo

I so agree with the lovely, Leah!
It’s not easy to connect but easier to dis-connect. The simple things in life are the most profound. Enjoy the Day!;-)
