Oh how I would loved to have pored over these sketches! Fashion of decades (even centuries!) past and the inspiration behind them are such a cool peek into the perspectives of glamour and trends of that period.
Apparently, long, lean luxurious looks are timeless. Selby got the chance to photograph Jeanne Lanvin’s library and here are some favorite images.

Oh oh, you just hit a sweet spot, I have *such* a weakness for Lanvin! It’s so amazing how something classic can be easily worn even today. That first grey dress sketch is so beautiful.
i’m very paticular with the things i like when it comes to decor – and i’m very modern – a lot of things in my house are square – so i want square brackets for everything – so i just googled around – and there’s like only 1 company that makes “nice – quality” brackets for banisters and stuff – JUST wait till u start the process – u’ll go nuts with all the options – my shelves in my shower were INSANE! – but i had my heart set on them so i HAD to buy them! ..
