CnC Living Travel Log: Bright blue vistas, fresh eats, and an intimate wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

March 9, 2011
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico is definitely a place I’d visit again.  Postcard-perfect blue skies and waters surrounded us in this tropical retreat (with temperature staying in the very comfortable 70s â„‰.)

This was one of my first impressions of Cabo – the view from our hotel (hotel review here!)
We were presented with the most gorgeous shade of blue skies…

…which continued with the blue waters of the Sea of Cortez from El Arco de Cabo San Lucas

When we weren’t enjoying the views, we were happily consuming food.  I couldn’t tire of the tangy lime flavors, fresh seafood (though I shouldn’t have much of it), and of course dessert.  More pictures, including one of a quatro leches cake on Flickr here.

Tamarind margarita – mmm!

Street food from a taqueria in San José del Cabo.  Tacos al pastor…good doesn’t even describe it.

But of course we were there for a wedding and it was a beautiful event.  I love the intimacy and relaxed vibe of destination weddings.
View of the church

Topped off with mariachi after the wedding to start the reception
Hope you enjoyed a peek into my trip.  More pictures on Flickr and Facebook

Beautiful! I haven’t been to Cabo San Lucas since I was 22 and a new college graduate. I’d love to take a “grown up” trip there that doesn’t involve booze cruises or Senor Frogs. That church is quaint and gorgeous, and the food looks amazing!
