{Runway Inspiration} My Favorite Fall/Winter Fashion week 2011 looks that are perfect for spring

March 17, 2011

The major fashion weeks are over, but the inspiration remains. I am especially in ♡ with the bright, bold colors breezing into fashion.  I’m also happy to see that lace is more than just a trend and is re-imagined in brighter colors and more distinct textures (ethereal cream lace is always fine with me though).  Sheer looks are great for layering, while the longer hemlines and structured jackets totally fit with my inner lady.  The great thing is that you can choose which looks you must have, but also find the inspiration at lower price points as well (I’ll include some soon!)

Bright/Color blocking

Gucci (Milan Fashion Week) – luxurious and gorgeous, this look is not for the faint of heart

Alberta Ferretti (Milan Fashion Week) – a colorful departure from the brand’s usual flowy dresses, but still fun

Sheer

Michael Kors (New York Fashion Week) – for some reason, I immediately though beach chic – this would be a great cover-up

Stella McCartney (Paris Fashion Week) – this would be a great day to evening look with a slinky camisole underneath

Lace
Chanel (Paris Fashion Week) – this dark, lacquered lace look may convert some people who haven’t loved lace up to this point

Marc Jacobs (New York Fashion Week) – red and gorgeous with a modern, Spanish feel

Classic Ladylike silhouettes
Jonathon Saunders (London Fashion Week) – the comfortable and fitted look works all year round

Burberry (London Fashion Week) – the lively colors and layering are perfect for cool spring nights

What is your favorite fashion inspiration this season?

lately, i’ve been really into color-blocking ensembles and sheer tops. and for some reason, coral-orange is quickly becoming one of my favorite colors. i have way too much black in my wardrobe, so i’m looking to switch it up.

i like the first picture a lot. lavender and red is such an unexpected combo of colors, yet it works so well.
