FFF – Easter Tablescape inspiration via Gwyneth Paltrow and Thai food love

April 22, 2011

Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!

Decor Inspiration
Easter is upon us and I am flooded with memories of Easter egg dye kits and lots of jellybeans (mmm, it’s all about the food right?) We were thinking of throwing together a small brunch or dinner this year and if it transpires, this would be my tablescape inspiration.
Light and bright plates with eggs as placecards…

…matching linens and a simple table runner,

…and easy centerpieces of high and low elements

This is rustic chic at its best!

Otherwise, this weekend I am…

…sitting down to some lovely Thai food at a well known place in town (and hoping my Thai friend gives the thumbs up to this place.)  Thai food is one of my favorite cuisines and I can have it fairly often. The sour, salty, spicy combination of flavors gets me every time and I know I should be more adventurous but get pad thai every time (love those soft noodles!)

What are you doing this weekend?

Have a fabulous weekend!

Love the tablescape! I always want to make egg place cards but never seem to find the time. I’m scrambling to pull together a dinner on Sunday and bust out our new china for the occasion! Also, my husband would eat pad thai for every meal if he could 🙂

Oh, I love the idea of Easter eggs as place cards. And the turquoise color scheme of the plate & linens is gorgeous. Great pic of the Pad Thai too by the way. I actually made that dish a few days ago. Huge fan of Thai food too…

Hope you have a great Easter!
