Photo Love {Inspiration}: Rising above it all

September 19, 2011
Everything negative – pressure, challenges – is an opportunity for me to rise.

So many things can bring us down – our environments, other people, external pressure…the list goes on and on.  I know that long hours and difficult people have certainly effected me in the last few months.  I ended up feeling exhausted, deflated, and figuratively weighed down by the stress.  But I have learned that there are some things that I can not change and thus shouldn’t continue to stress about, and there are things I can influence.  I have the power to determine what can affect me.  Once I learned that, I wasn’t as bothered by small dramas.  I would take those negative experiences as learning experiences and rise above it all.
How do you rise above?
Have a lovely week!

This is a great post, well needed too! I sometimes let myself get bogged down by others and I really need to ignore them and pay attention to my own thoughts, as they don’t really matter & I think people who see you doing something different will try and knock you down, I just need to stay true to myself!! Have a wonderful Monday dear!! xx

Thanks so much for this post – I’m still learning to rise, but every day handling the pressure gets just a bit easier. I struggle with wanting to control the actions of others, especially at work when there is an important project to get done. At the end of the day, I can only make sure that my work is done, so I need to stop stressing about whether other people are doing what they are supposed to! Happy Monday 🙂

Wise words. Without challenges, one can’t grow. Without growth, one becomes stagnant.

I love these pics! Thanks I needed this reminder today…so much drama at work today =) I rise above by trying my best to just roll with the punches or breathe and reboot…I try not to let other people bring me down or at least try and stop myself when they are bringing me down.

I wish it was that simple to just push aside those things pulling you down, and rise above it all.
    I wish that literally, too.

These are really awesome photos! Sorry to hear it has been a rough couple of months! To arise above it all I try not to think about it when I go home and keep myself busy. For now, I just think it is only a job take it for what it is worth!

I love the quote and agree with what you have to say here. I try to ignore negative people and focus hard to positive things. Some people just love drama and it’s hard to ignore them 🙂
