I saw the most beautiful sunset in Phuket, Thailand a few weeks ago The kaleidoscope of colors, the variations of light, and the feeling of serenity are ideas I can only hope to capture with the images above. We took the last minute trip to Phuket right after a particularly busy time at my day job so this tropical escape was certainly welcome. I loved sitting on a boat and slowly watching the transformation of color and texture in the sky. I couldn’t help taking quite a few shots because they all felt a little different to me. While clouds here have come bearing rain for the last month or so (and will continue to do so for a few month), the clouds as part of this Thai sunset bore an entirely different feeling. I’ll have to post the rest of my pictures soon and carry the memory of this beautiful experience for a long time.

Ohhhh..this makes me nostalgic. 1.5 years ago I was in Phuket starting at sunsets like this. I am driven to go back there…most beautiful place on earth!

i love the clouds of the thai sunset. i recently took some photos of clouds too because they had an orange hue behind them from the sun and they looked amazing.

aww i love Phuket. There are soo many beautiful sunsets in the world – some of my faves would have to be in Hawaii – in Maui over looking honolua bay watching the hardcore surfers below while a perfectly orange ball descended upon us. My ultimate fave though, are those in Southern Africa on safari. Having a sundowner (ie drinks) and watching the biggest, brightest sun ever set slowly on the horizon.
