Sometimes I just love being surrounded by people. I want to go out to dinner at a favorite restaurant, catch up with the girls over brunch, or just chat over some coffee and treats. But I also treasure my time alone. I can catch up on all the silly shows or websites that I’m afraid others might find ridiculous, imagine and keep on designing how our new home will look, and just think about next steps.
I love the picture above of Ms. Audrey Hepburn because she seems so contemplative and content. I have been so busy with my incredibly stressful former job, the apartment move, and next job step possibilities that I haven’t really taken time for myself. I’m starting a new job in a few weeks and I think this is the best time to relax and take time not only for myself, but to those people I don’t see often. I’m doing a whirlwind trip to DC, NYC, and San Diego in a few days. It will be great to take a few days for myself and then to see family and friends for a little while too. I hope that this will really restore me and have me ready for what may come next!

Love her..she’s marvelous. And I agree, time with friends and doing things is wonderful,but I also love the times alone to reflect and release everything. A balance is always needed. I hope you have a super week doll!! xx

Definitely take some time off to enjoy yourself and just “be.” Have a great time on your trip – that is quite a whirlwind from where you live!

I agree with you. sometimes its nice to have alone time and not be surrounded. though lately Ive been packing my days in….Its a bit tiring though…I need a personal day thats for sure!
I so agree with you! Sometimes I want to be going going going – meeting people, seeing old friends, etc. But then I definitely am the type of person that needs to recharge alone. I’ve always been that way! Have fun when you are here in San Diego!! Good luck with your new job!
