Beauty Product Review: Chanel Delight Summer 2012 nail polish

July 24, 2012

Rose gold is such a romantic color, don’t you think? I’m a little obsessed with rose gold and I am a little obsessed with nail polishes with a foil finish.  For some reason, I find it a bit harder to find metallic nail polishes that give the drier, matte finish.  I travel a lot for work and personal reasons, so I am always passing through the airport and tempted by duty free cosmetics (the best place to get high end cosmetics!)  Changi airport actually has one of the best selections and prices among international airports I’ve visited (I bet CDG in France would be great too).  I’ve amassed a Chanel nail polish collection and wanted to start reviewing them for you.

I loved the finish and easy consistency of this polish.  I was surprised to see that it actually resembled rose gold (initially I just thought it was champagne).  The peach and pink undertones are pretty fabulous.

Tip: In my first round, my nails dried under my husband’s usual super blast of air conditioning so there were small bubbles (direct blasts of air or a short drying time between coats leads to bubbles in your polish!) Minimize bubbles by not shaking your nail polish and staying away from windy areas when drying your nail polish.

For that price, it’s definitely not cheap. Love the color, though.

Delightful indeed!!I love Chanel nail polishes, if they were a little bit cheaper I would have a rich collection of them. I lIke very much that colour on you, because you have slender (hope the word is correct) fingers. On my baby fingernails any metallic finish looks inappropriate!Looking foward to other Chanel nail polish reviews!ciao ciao!

Such a pretty color! Chanel polish certainly isn’t cheap, but it goes on so smoothly!

Oh I am so with you: I adore rose gold varnish. I went to the Chanel popup in London’s Covent Garden last night and just drooled. LLGxx

Chanel polish is pricey, but I think completely worth it! It goes on smoother and stays chip-free longer, in my experience. I usually pick about two or three shades each season and splurge! I love the rose-gold color you selected. I’m still having a love affair with “April” from last season. I’m excited to check out the fall line!

The color is so beautiful. I couldn’t buy Chanel polishes regularly, but I may be willing to splurge for a color like this–amazing!
