Hot under {$100}: Just one more pair of sunglasses for summer

August 9, 2012
Sunglasses are definitely a must have accessory for warmer weather.
They hide not only my “I got these bags under my eyes because I stayed up watching the Olympics” eyes, but also prevent me from constantly squinting while keeping me instantly chic.

I am unapologetic in my love for my fancy sunglasses (hey I take care of my Tom Fords and they are pricey to replace!), but I also know that many brands make luxurious looking sunglasses for less.  I am definitely checking out Topshop my next visit to NYC.  I am also impressed by Banana Republic because the shades below actually remind me of Tom Fords for a quarter of the price.

What sunglasses brands do you like?

1. Small plastic oval sunglasses, Topshop, $32
2. Heather sunglasses, Banana Republic, $88
3. Women’s animal print sunglasses, Old Navy, $4.97
4. Cats eye sunglasses, Topshop, $32
5. Moschino butterfly frame sunglasses, ASOS, $84.51

little luxury list

Love the Banana Republic shades! I think the most I’ve ever spent on a pair is a little over $100 – I am bad about losing and breaking sunglasses, and it’s easy enough to find labels for less at Loehmann’s near my work. If I had a better track record, I would definitely splurge on a gorgeous pair of shades 🙂

Sunglasses are a must for me during the summer, too. I love my LOFT shades that have lasted me for years!

I love sunglasses too! I agree with you that it’s good to have one pricey masterpiece (or two…) and get some good looking cheap alternatives. I love Tom Ford’s design by the way. I would also like to try the Cats Eyes Sunnies from Topshop. I know I’ve already told you but.. your new blog design is simply perfect… as chic as you! xoxo
