Fashion and Interiors: Pink and Black (Feminine and Edgy!)

September 27, 2012

I have been a lover of pink ever since I received my first My Melody stationary set (for some reason, I used to be obsessed with Sanrio stationary and pencils).  I love how a soft pink can evoke springtime and budding flowers while a darker pink can be sensual and shocking.  I have more recently noticed pink being paired with black in both decor and apparel.  I love the deep contrast between a light pink and black and a fuchsia and black make sense for  an edgier, bolder look.  I guess this means I can have a sweet side and a darker side too?

Here are a few favorite pink and black looks:

I’m a huge fan of the combination. It would be the perfect color scheme once I get that closet-room I’ve been dreaming of for years 🙂

I love nothing more decor-wise than this colour combination, I used to do it everywhere! I haven’t actually tried it with a light shade of pink with black – think I have to try that next! Thanks for the inspo!

I’m not mad on pink but you are right, it does look especially good teamed up with black – gives it more of an edge!

I love pink now as well, but did not grow up loving it. Pale pinks and fuchsia colours are my favourites at the moment. Great inspiration! xx

I never thought pink home decor would look so chic. I always associated with barbie but not anymore. Great photos too, my favorite is the first photo, the pink couch is gorgeous.
