There’s nothing like having a fashion dream and escaping to NYFW (Spring 2013 in this case!) I really liked quite a few of these looks because the spring looks are generally lighter and brighter and undeniably ladylike. Interestingly enough, I also liked the shows of designers who really excel at evening wear. Perhaps their flair for the dramatic also adds an extra punch to daytime looks?
Here are a few favorites from:
Carolina Herrera
The mood was delicate, with a little edge. Pastel colors were abundant but combined in color blocking combination or with just one contrast color.
Styling consisted of clean, slicked back hair and strappy sandals.
I’d wear the look to a luxurious, day time event.
Zac Posen
The mood was full of classic ladylike glamour! Feminine colors and textures like red and lace were prominent.
Styling consisted of neat hair and ultra femme satin satin ankle wrap shoes.
I’d wear the look to a power lunch.
Reem Acra
The mood was full of subtle texture and print. Sometimes all you need is a bold color.
Styling consisted of slightly teased poufs (power hair!)
I’d wear it to a spring wedding.

I adore ladylike looks – the Zac Posen collection is my favorite, and I enjoyed your notes about the styling. I usually miss that while drooling over the clothes!
