Jewelry/Artisan Highlight: Nu Bambu glistening natural gemstone jewelry

September 12, 2012

One of my favorite sections of the natural history museum was always the gemstone section.  I didn’t just enjoy looking at carefully handcrafted pieces of glistening jewels, I also really loved looking at where these jewels began.  I would be entranced by a large rock that appeared rough and gray on one side and would be split open to reveal a deep, rich hue of amethyst or a sparkling shade of green.

Those days of admiring gemstones stayed with me because I now love collection large polished gemstone pieces whenever possible.  We have beautiful agate coasters and I am looking to collect a few agate adorned jewelry pieces as well.

It comes as no surprise that I was drawn to Nu Bambu’s line of natural stones in edgy designs, now on sale at Fab.com.  Here are a few favorites:

– The color on this Rings of Saturn cuff, fuchsia($28) is phenomenal!

– These solar eclipse earrings ($28) are versatile and edgy!

– I like how these moon rock studs are both delicate and rough ($36!)

– This solar ring ($24) would definitely make a statement as a cocktail ring!

I really love those adorable heart stud earrings. All of this jewelry is so pretty. I used to collect gemstones, like the one if the first photo, when I was a kid. I wish I could find that old collection. I had actually forgotten about it until I saw your post.
