One of my few, but mandatory makeup essentials, is a daily coat(s) of mascara.
I have average length lashes that are also perhaps below average in terms of volume. But I discovered that a few coats of a good mascara make my eyes look so much brighter and really opens up my face. I am open to trying out different brands from drugstore dominant brands like Revlon to pricier department store options. I was drawn to trying out this particular mascara after browsing the Chanel duty free counter one too many a time and also hearing Katie mention it.
Chanel Inimitables Intense mascara, Chanel.com, $30
The application with the brush is easy and gets most of my lashes (which are unfortunately almost always wildly different lengths). The formula is also quite interesting because it rubs off in silicone like clumps, not flakes so mascara that comes off doesn’t spread across your entire face. It is a mascara I’d splurge on again and a staple in my vanity. I’d want to try Diorshow some time as well among the premium mascaras and will review some drugstore greats as well but that will be for another review!
Chanel Inimitables Intense mascara
– Yes! It definitely delivers length and volume in a smooth formula
– Almost diva-like lashes and a formula that doesn’t flake off
– None though I could buy a few tubes of more affordable mascara for the price of one tube of Inimitables intense!
