It is definitely true that each city has its own fashion style.
When I am in NYC, I reach for those darker, edgier cuts like my favorite mohair Adam sweater and a pair of leggings. But when I am in Singapore, I will proudly wear flip flops (or fit flops as unattractive as they are if I’m walking for a while) and shorter, flirty skirts.
What is the style of a city like Barcelona? I imagine an effortless style with the occasional ornate references and trims. The Anthropologie collection for fall was shot in Spain and the relaxed clothing in rich neutrals plays perfectly with the beautiful architectural details of the city.
I really need to return to Spain and get my jamon fix!

It looks like we might not get heat/hot water until the 11th now but at least my mom has it. I would love to go to Unique NYC but I’m attending a trade show next weekend. We should try to catch up sometime while you’re in NYC though if time permits 🙂
