Savvy Wedding/Party Decor: IKEA ANGENÄM bowl

January 15, 2013

I’m not just in it for the meatballs (or gravalax and herring in my husband’s case), I love going to IKEA because they have little home decor gems strewn about the store.

I love decor that can be used for both special events as well as everyday living.  The ANGENÄM bowl is a great example of a bowl that can be chic enough to be used for a special event, but can also be used in your home as well.

Here are some decor ideas:

  • Hold notes
  • Contain small packages or gifts
  • Store fancy fruit or wrapped foods
  • Serve as a luxurious ice bucket or drinks bucket
  • Centerpiece

How else could use this bowl?

That’s a really cute set! I think the closest IKEA to me is in Texas. I’ve heard they have a lot of great things.

I hope you can stop by an IKEA some day. It is a pretty fascinating place and they have unexpected little finds in there (and nice snacks!)

Ohmigosh, I LOVE your decor ideas for that bowl. Can I just say…all of the above? Though I especially love the thought of using it to hold notes – cuteness! 🙂

Wow, those are very nice bowls! They look high-quality. I may have to cruise by there and snatch up a few.

That is such a genius bowl, I’m thinking right now where I could put it. Ikea is the best for these kinds of things!

Oh Ikea, I can spend way too much time in there, typically on the bottom floor full of unusual little knick knacks waiting to be “discovered.” I love the gold interiors of those bowls and dishes – it’s like a bit of bling.
