FFF – MOMA Exclusive Jewelry and Lunar New Year celebrations

February 8, 2013

Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!

Fun Finds – Jewelry

A museum is full of glimpses into history, interesting artifacts, and beautiful pieces from different eras. Perhaps it isn’t a huge surprise then that it sells beautiful and unique pieces as well. I was browsing in the MOMA Store at Chicago O’Hare (gotta pass the time somehow during a long layover right?) and was pleasantly surprised by their rather extensive jewelry collection. The pieces veer towards a more ornate and romantic vibe, but there are a few modern finds as well.

I have adored Elsa Peretti for Tiffany’s tear drop earrings for a while…but it’s a cool $395.

These somewhat similar Alexis Bittar earrings are much more wallet friendly and also gorgeous. Which pair would you choose?

Otherwise this weekend…

…my husband’s aunt is flying in and staying with us!  My husband likes to joke that we get along so well because we like to gang up on him and nag him, hehe. There will be Lunar New Year/Chinese New Year celebrations in the area so we may catch the fireworks and at least see a few people for a BBQ in between some sight seeing jaunts around the city.

What are you doing this weekend?

Have a fabulous weekend!

I love the Tiffany earrings – I got them for a gift a year or so back and they’re SO versatile. Those Bittar ones are stunning too though – and a great substitution!
