FFF/Fun Finds – Test Tube Chandeliers and Museum visits

February 22, 2013

Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!

Fun Finds

I love finding interesting pieces for home decor.  I am always fascinated by how objects that are traditionally used for one purpose can be completely re-imagined for a new and utterly different function.  I found this test tube chandelier designed by Pani Jurek and was instantly smitten with the color sand modern design.  I imagine it would be quite beautiful on a bright, sunny day with the sunlight passing through the kaleidoscope of vibrant shades. If I had kids, I would totally want this in their play room (assuming the room had high ceilings too!) I pinned it here (come and say hi on Pinterest!)

…FINALLY checking out some of the local museums.  It is sad that I’ve been here for a few years and haven’t really explored SE Asian art.  We are taking advantage of free admission Friday nights to visit a museum and get those cultural juices flowing.

What are you doing this weekend?

Have a fabulous weekend!

Love that, it’s gorgeous. It has to go where the light comes in, so all the colours shine against the walls and floor…so pretty xx

What a fun chandelier! I’ve lived in SF for 10 years (in August) and still have not made it to every museum. Shame on me! Have a great time and I can’t wait to hear all about it.

As a science major, that chandelier is SO AWESOME! hahaha I am loving all the colors. I love going to museums. We have a small one here in New Orleans. There are exhibits every once in awhile. That’s why I admire London so. They have so many! I bet there are some nice ones in Asia too.
