Fashion Highlight: TOMS shoes (one for you, one for a child in need) and a discount!

March 27, 2013

A fashion empire may begin with the simplest of ideas.

Blake Mycoskie was traveling through Argentina and was troubled by the many children he encountered that didn’t even possess a pair of shoes.  He decided to start a very simple, but unique business that would sell shoes and give a pair to a child in need with every pair of shoes sold.  It enabled consumers to add to their wardrobes while seamlessly making a charitable contribution as well.  He has now expanded to a one for one concept with eyewear as well.

What a cool concept right?  But let’s be honest, the shoes have to be cute as well.

Luckily, Toms has created a few fun styles in varying heel heights.  I am really loving the wedges and am debating on a pair.  I’m definitely pulling the trigger now because Toms gives you $5 off a $25 order with code RMNSPRINGTOMS (through March 31) and there is free shipping off every order (through April 1st).  See my cashback link below as well for the site that provides the highest cash back.

Now is definitely the time to pick up a new pair of spring shoes and you’ll be donating a pair to a child that needs them as well!

Here are my favorite shoes (I’m thinking of basic strappy wedges or perhaps indigo metallic ones?):

The classics are good shoes when you don’t want a lot of height. They also have special designs including artist designed shoes and campus color shoes!  I didn’t go to any of the schools, but like the colors!

These are great & I appreciate even more the cause behind them!! We need to extend our hands to others in need. So important as it could just as easily be us in that spot. Hope you have a wonderful day doll xx

I’ve never really gotten into the look of the classic Toms, but the wedges are great – plus, as you mentioned, there is a great cause that goes along with it, which makes a pair of those wedges even more tempting 🙂

I completely agree – the classics are ok, but the wedges are cute!

TOMS’ styles have definitely gotten cuter and their one for one program is awesome! I’ve been thinking about getting a pink glitter pair 🙂

I don’t really like the look of regular Toms but I love the heels. It’s sad that they’re so expensive.
