In my Closet: Giuseppe Zanotti Plato Sandalo Leopard print heels

May 14, 2013
I’ve always been a little bit of a conservative dresser, or at least a very girly dresser.
Sure I’ll take lace, ruffles, and mini-skirts, but I preferred my solid colors and muted patterns.  I only bought my first leopard print dress last year, but then became obsessed with leopard print shoes.  I had to find the perfect pair of not too-high, but high enough leopard print shoes (ideally calf hair with a slight platform). These Giuseppe Zanotti peep toe pumps crept up on my slowly.  I am not necessarily one that has to have designer heels though I do appreciate a quality shoe.  I am trying to invest in a few beautifully constructed pairs of shoes because I have heard that the workmanship can be worth it.

I bought this directly from a seller on TPF marketplace and was able to save almost $500 off the list price for a new pair of shoes (ouch right, where do they come up with list prices?)  The shoes are comfortable at the heel and toe though they hurt after I was standing for about 45 minutes at a cocktail party.  But I would definitely consider buying Zanottis again.

Ooh, I am in love with these – leopard print shoes are one of my weaknesses.

Regarding Victoria’s Secret shoes…I always find that the flats are fine, but the heels / wedges are a little difficult to navigate in. The in-step is always too steep for me, and makes me feel as if my ankle is breaking when I walk. Sadly, their shoes are so cute – but I’ve basically written them off. For reference, I wear 5-inch wedges/platforms all the time from other brands, so I’m not sure what the problem is. :/

Thanks for the feedback dear! I guess the Victoria’s Secret shoes are cute, but may not be great for walking around. I’ll keep that in mind!

Love these shoes! I think investing in footwear is the nicest thing you can do for your feet – especially if you wear heels everyday. The need to be comfortable!

I did a similar leopard shoe quest last summer, and while I ultimately didn’t get my exact dream shoe, I got one that makes me pretty happy. These look gorgeous, I especially love the back cut out detail.

Ooh, love these. Yes to the Mad Men pics!:-). Yes, I’ve tried shoes from VS(Colin something was the brand, I think). They weren’t very comfortable, but they were cute. This was years ago, so things may be different now…
