A light, easy to wear lip color is an essential piece in my makeup bag.
I had read about Revlon lip butter colors some time last year and was curious about trying it for myself. I finally ordered a few shades when I also saw blogger buddy Jessica order Sweet Tart. This is a light, but rich shade of pink and a nice departure from my red shades.
I like the semi-sheer coverage and it almost looks like a gloss in this shot (without the stickiness though, thank you!)
The coverage is light and is similar to a lighter creamy lipstick or tinted lip balm.
Here is a super cheesy photo of my lips with the Sweet Tart shade and the actual lipstick. As you can see, the shade was relatively true to the lip balm cover!
I’m not the only one who is loving this great tinted balm/lipstick (seriously, it’s a hybrid!) – it’s gotten recommendations from Redbook Mag, Harper’s Bazaar (I want to try watermelon too!), and Marie Claire. I’m going to give it the Chic ‘n Cheap Living recommendation as well. It is an affordable light lip product with good pigmentation and decent lasting power – what’s not to love?

– Yes, this is a nice beauty bag staple!
Pros
– Moisturizing, goes on smoothly, provides nice color
Cons
– This may highlight chapped lips if your lips are dry (i.e. you may see the lines in your lips if your lips are very chapped). This would be a REALLY great all in one product if there was some SPF ingredients in here.

You make me blush dear! Yes I was pleasantly surprised by the shade which is pretty flattering on fair to medium skin tones. It would look lovely on you!
Oh wow this has got to be one of the most pretty, and flattering shades I have ever seen. I have had one of these Revlon Lip Butter’s in my hand at the shops so many times, but didn’t want to hand over the money LOL. I’m definitely going to look for this shade next time they are on sale!

That shade is really pretty on you! I loved the Revlon Lip Butters. They came out with more shades this year. I like the colors and the light coverage. Plus they make your lips feel good. You picked a winner!
