Otherwise this weekend I am…

…having either some spicy Szechuan or Xinjian food with an old friend.  I love the “ma-la” (numbing spiciness) from Szechuan peppercorns and I was also trying to find a place where some of the food would be a little softer.  My poor husband is recovering from some dental work and still has trouble eating foods with a bit more texture.  We’ll get mapo tofu, handmade noodles and poached fish in spicy oil.  It should be great!
