Paris Fashion Week breezed by this past week in a flurry of pastels, prints, and floating fabrics (oh and can you believe Marc Jacobs is leaving Louis Vuitton???)

I absolutely adored the intricate embellishments and ethereal gowns at Elie Saab.  I also loved the multi-colored trenches at Miu Miu – they would exude such fun pops of color on a spring day! It was fun seeing designs that were versatile and could work with many warmer weather pieces.  I would possibly splurge on a printed Miu Miu trench coat, but there are so many great, affordable trench coats now as well.  I already have a tuxedo jacket in my closet and am so glad I got it – it surprisingly paris with so many outfits and it is cool to see it continually being re-interpreted each season.  Finally, though I was drawn to outerwear, I love a great shirt dress because it can easily be worn with accessories to the office or by itself for a casual weekend date.

I selected a few pieces from top designers that inspire what I’d want in my wardrobe now:

Saint Laurent tuxedo jacket

This is a jacket that is classic and classy

Totally agree with you about your picks, especially the bright trench and the tuxedo jacket. I really like them both and that they are more affordable. That is crazy news about LV too and Marc Jacobs. Big change. 🙂

The pink tartan collection looks really great–I always hesitate to spend a lot of money on white cotton so these pieces look perfect!

What I liked about the designs in fashion week was that many are so dupable. Thanks for showing those options.
