What are staple colors in your closet?
As a native New Yorker, I of course have a lot of black pieces. Black pants (now leggings), blazers, and dresses have filled my wardrobe for years. White is a natural counter balance to black and I especially like to pair black tops with white skirts (the reverse seems a little too formal). Of course I have many more shade in my closet these days, but will always love layering with black and white.
This is why I’m glad black and white forms the basis of Catherine Malandrino’s Luxing it on the Cheap (LOTC) collection for Kohl’s. I have always loved Catherine’s use of laser cut details to really make a dress or top interesting and am glad to see that has translated into a few LOTC pieces here.

I love black and white. I have a lot of black in my wardrobe, though I have been trying to put in more colours, but I do just love wearing black, haha. I would wear all of these, love the last one, so gorgeous. Have a wonderful Wednesday doll xxox

For a lifetime NYer, I actually don’t wear much black. Color just makes me so much happier. This collection is quite chic. I really like the Je T’aime tee.

I have far too much black in my closet but started introducing pastels. This is a wonderful collection, i saw Olivia Palermo in the laser cut dress, it looked stunning. Love the embroidered one and the last dress.
I really like the bold graphic sweaters – and as with all these lines, I’ll be sure and find something good on the clearance rack in a few months!
