The Edit September 24, 2013

My husband is a caring and understanding guy.

I’m lucky that he’s very introspective and self-aware – it has made me become more aware of my own motivations and actions.  But I still confuse him occasionally.   He wonders why I insist on making cookies for friends, is puzzled when I exclaim “I have nothing to wear!”, and is confused why I have to have multiple shades of a similar nail polish (they’re different, really!)

We all have our little quirks and preferences.  These aspects may bewilder our dear friends and partners, but are part of our feminine charms.  Oh and if we want to wear a lovely lace dress (I want all of the ones Eva wore above!) on a random Monday, why shouldn’t we?

Be mysterious. Be feminine. Keep them guessing!

Have a lovely week!

Wow could she be any more stunning if she tried? I love that call to be feminine and mysterious – so easy to forget that magical power we have 🙂

HaHa! Guys definitely don’t understand. I think most women would agree. This is a gorgeous photoshoot featuring Eva. The dresses are so pretty.

This is one of Eva’s best editorials, she’s simply stunning anyway. I love the black and white outfit. I agree, it’s nice to be a bit mysterious and feminine, wouldn’t have it any other way, haha. xx/Madison

How amazing does Eva Mendes look in these photos! My husband doesn’t get some of my quirks either but at least he finds most of them charming haha.

Having nothing to wear isn’t about what clothes you have (or don’t have) it’s all about your mood, and a little about the weather. So what we need to say is “I have nothing I feel like wearing!” or, I have nothing I feel like wearing that is appropriate for my life right now. Because as much as I want that black lace dress, where would I ever wear it? Out running errands? To work? Even if I had a date, I’d feel like I’d be putting my date out by wearing something super fancy….

Well said Lydia! I love that “I have nothing I feel like wearing that is appropriate for my life right now.” I’m telling my husband that!

They will never get our intricate selves. It’s funny because my hubby too doesn’t get why I make cookies for my friends 😉

I’d say most men are like that… They don’t see the subtle differences in life!
