Otherwise this weekend I am…
…getting ready to host a holiday party. We had meant to have a get together for my birthday but got sidetracked by other things so we are now inviting some people over for a holiday party. A lot of our friends are traveling, but we still expect about 20 people. I’m going to take it easy (sort of) and my husband ordered a turkey with stuffing. He will make corned beef while I prepare all the side dishes over the next few days. I’m thinking of making sweet and salty (char siew) flavored chicken wings, carrot and potato pudding, creamed spinach, and mushroom turnovers. Oh and course we’ll have a dessert – perhaps I’ll try out pumpkin bread pudding or maybe just make some Christmas cookies! It will be a little hectic, but still fun.
