Beauty Product Review: Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Ready SPF20 Mineral Foundation

Mineral foundations are my favorite, easy way to create a polished even look on my skin. I’ve raved about Bare Minerals foundation in the past and it is still a product I reach for when I want a little SPF protection topped off with a lightly finished look. So of course I was curious about the Bare Minerals Ready foundation when it came out.  It is a traditional powder in a compact form and I wanted to see if the coverage was similar.  It is definitely easier to apply, but I found that it almost went on too easily and could be heavy in some areas (it was definitely heavier on my forehead).  I still have it and use it, but am not sure I love it.  But it is a product with natural ingredients and SPF ingredients so I’ll let you decide then!

Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Ready SPF 20 Foundation

Recommend

– On the fence. it provides coverage, but can be a bit heavy in some areas

Pros

– Even and fast coverage

Cons

– Can be cakey, must be applied with a delicate hand

Price

– $29

I like the sound of SPF, and I think Bare Minerals provide the best coverage of all mineral make up out there. The price is high but it’s worth it.

I don’t wear foundation because I find it too heavy but it’s nice that there are more like this on the market now that feature natural ingredients.

The powder never worked for me, because it didn’t provide enough coverage so I may give this a go. Great review.

Since I am a powder user, the idea of having the SPF built in and not needing an extra step sounds great to me. did you find it to be hydrating like the claims?

Phiphi, I’m a total Bare Minerals girl! I’d definitely recommend their matte mineral foundation and this ready one is good if you want more coverage!
