Happy fun, free Friday lovelies!

Online Discounts

Spring is around the corner (even if it may not feel like it in your neck of the woods). Many retailers are pushing their spring collections full force to get us in the mood for some lighter, brighter clothing.  One of the brands celebrating spring is Gap which is offering 30% off your order this weekend (this may become 25% on Saturday) with code EARLY.  So the earlier you shop, the more you save!

I have been impressed with the range of Gap denim and my lighter (and tighter) pair of 1969 legging jeans are a favorite pair of spring jeans. I’m glad that it looks like they made it slightly looser this year.  My booty might need the more forgiving coverage!

Otherwise this weekend I am…

…cooking a meal to thank a few friends.  My husband was trying to dissuade me from cooking, but he and a few girls organized a great party to celebrate our little lady.  I really want to show my appreciation and am still contemplating gifts as well.  I don’t want to take any of my loved ones for granted.  We have gotten such great hand me downs from friends and try to take each of them out for dinner (hey they could always give the crib to someone else you know?)  There is still quite a bit to get (seriously, baby stuff REALLY adds up!) but we have gotten such generous gifts.

For now, I’ll just have fun cooking for my friends.  On the menu is a provencal seafood stew.  I’m making a test run of the dish tonight and hope it turns out ok!  I’m also going to try out butterscotch pudding which could be exciting!

What are you doing this weekend?

Have a fabulous weekend!

Have a marvellous weekend doll, it sounds like it will be a great time. It’s a good thing to show appreciation for friends…baby stuff really does add up & then most times you don’t even use half of it, so do keep receipts and stuff to take it back or give away after. Baby stuff is almost more expensive than adult stuff, haha. And they only use it for a very short period of time, insane!! Have a great weekend doll xx

That’s wonderful, that you’ve received such nice piece from friends to help with the little one. That is always something to be thankful for. 🙂

This weekend is about work catch up! I didn’t fully take off during our vacation, but there is still a lot to do (seems like there always is!).

Enjoy spending time with your friends— actually, really take advantage of all of these days before your little girl comes– this a chapter of your life coming to an end and it should be savored. (And then when she arrives, savor it!)

Sounds like some great weekend plans! I already took advantage of a sale at the gap earlier this week (which was 40% off!) and finally added some polka dots to my wardrobe.

Little one!? I am so behind? Congrats! I will have to browse through your prior posts to see what I’ve missed. Good booty coverage is a prerequiste when choosing a great pair of jeans for me too. Have a great weekend. xx

Have a great weekend spending time with your friends! I think it’s great that you’ve taken the time to really be grateful and thank them for their generosity. I also hear you about the cost of baby items! I’ve read so many articles about all of the expenses, and it’s a major consideration for us in terms of when we want to have a baby.

Heather, yes the cost of raising a child is definitely a huge consideration in family planning! We are thankful that we are at the point where we feel comfortable in many aspects and are as read as we can be for this baby!
