Garage Spring Summer 2014

Do you have tattoos?

I’ve always been fascinated, but never took the plunge myself.  I definitely feel the sense of permanence about them and don’t know what symbol, picture, or phrase would really represent me (and still look good in 30 years!)  But I do love how they tell a story.

Is the story about a person’s greatest loves? Or is it more aspirational and speaks of fantasies and a surreal, stylized version of oneself, like in these pictures above?  I love the tattoo above with Karlie Kloss in a top hat.  It depicts her, but one as a bold and colorful ringmaster or mistress.  Perhaps the story in ones tattoo will tell of an inspiring personal figure or quote that drives that person every day.

It’s interesting to think of the possibilities.  What would your tattoo show?

Have a lovely week!

These are gorgeous. I don’t have any tattoos, but I’ve always thought about getting one. Would be quite cool :)) I hope you have a gorgeous week doll xx

I never took the plunge either— frankly I couldn’t imagine a single image that I would want forever. Although there was a time were I considered getting a quote tattooed along the inside of my foot….

I think tattoos are interesting, but I wouldn’t get one myself. I would also worry about the permanence and appearance down the road, and am completely averse to needles and anything painful that isn’t absolutely necessary for my health. I would definitely get a henna or temporary tattoo for fun, though.

Wow, the third and fourth tattoos are very intricate. A friend of mine is a great tatoo artist, and I’ve always bern fascinated by the artists who can do tattoos freehand with no photo, I guess it’s a bit like doing a painting or sketches in my notebook, but seems far cooler! I do have a tattoo! 🙂

I’ve never been much for tattoos, but some people are so addicted!

Like you, tattoos fascinate me but they’re not really for me. Not to mention I have a fairly major aversion to needles.
