Admit it, you totally wanted to get your hands on Carrie Bradshaw’s closet right?

While I didn’t always agree with all of her choices (how sweet was Aidan), I always loved peeking at her eclectic closet.

Sarah Jessica Parker also has had some bold fashion choices and her style has inspired many young women to add a bit more color or edge to their wardrobes.

I was excited to see that Sarah Jessica Parker is continuing to share her love of color and fun style with her first shoe collection for Nordstrom.  It is a relatively safe collection of sandals, followed by espadrilles and pumps (I wish there were more choices that were a bit edgier).  I love the silhouette and color choices for the espadrilles as well as the clean lines of the Diana pump.  I’ll leave you to judge the rest of the collection.  What do you think?

    xx

I suppose they are a bit safe, though we are talking SJP and not Carrie, after all. I do love the bronze strappy sandals so much!

I think the collection was a little too safe for my taste. I just really couldn’t get into it…. I was a little bummed by this, maybe my expectations were too high!

    • Chic 'n Cheap Living March 5, 2014 at 21:18

Agreed Alexis! It was just too safe for me and I wish I liked more styles. A little hardware or a different silhouette would have been cool!

Some of these are pretty cute! I can’t wear heels now so I can only admire them from afar or onscreen 🙂

All are beautiful and my favourite is the Diana pump. So classy yet sassy. Kisses, darling.

Aidan was adorable! I have to say I’m not impressed with this collection – nothing wows me.

Emma, agreed. My expectations were a bit high for SJP shoes, but these are pretty conservative.

I recently heard about this and it’s nice that she has this shoe line available. But I must say, it’s not really my style, but I know a lot of ladies will love it.

Can I have one of everything?

  • Sam March 5, 2014 at 18:43

First time Im seeing the collection and pretty surprised that its quite toned down and very wearable. The black Diana pumps are an essential and love the colorful Maude, Etta and Leslie. Your thoughts mean very much to me, thanks for stopping by.

  • Erika March 6, 2014 at 09:16

i like her summer shoes – but i expected better of the others ..

PS – GIVEAWAY going on; stop by and pass on the love

I liked the Etta and Carrie style. I was expecting a little more pizzazz from her. You can get some of those styles for a lot cheaper under another designer.

Wonderful post! I love SJP. Every time I hear the name, all I think of is “Sex and the City”, one of my favorite shows that I still watch re-runs of! I’ve always admired her role in the fashion world… She has such glamorous and elegant taste! So thanks for doing this awesome post!

Thank you for your sweet comment! Yes, every time I hear SJP, I also think of her famous show. She has such elegant taste, but also isn’t afraid to be whimsical and funky with her clothing too. It inspires me to add a piece or two to my wardrobe that is a little edgier than normal!
