Some things are pretty standard.
Vases are one of those things. When you are fortunate enough to pick up a bouquet of fresh blooms, you will bright it home and put it into some type of glass or ceramic vase right (maybe even a vintage metal one if you have one!)
So you can see why I was instantly smitten with the familiar shapes, but unique look of Melanie Abrantes’ cork vases. She hand turns vases and planters out of cork and coats the exterior in a mxture of beeswax and orange oil; these nifty little vases and planters are thus placed in naturally porous, but durable natural containers.

The cork is very different, and kind of fun. I’m not sure if it would make it’s way into my own home, but I definitely like it.
