What are your favorite indulgences?

My favorite indulgences include quiet afternoons at home when I lazily take time for myself and surf through pretty Pinterest pictures or funny Facebook updates (definitely a treat once one has kids!)

Once in a while, I love to splurge on a good, rich meal as well.  While I normally try to limit my carbs and fattier foods, I also allow a cheat day once in a while.  We are planning on visiting a buffet soon filled with wonderful caprese salads, rustic breads, and roasted lamb stew.  Ahh I’m dreaming of the mozzarella already!

My last favorite treat these last few years has been a collection of Hermes scarves which I like to tie in different ways (like a belt here).  I never thought I would be willing to spend that much on an accessory, but love the timeless look of the scarves.  At least I can also give them to my daughter right?

But really the best treat these last few months has been the quality time with my family.  I haven’t spent this much time with my parents in five years – when I first moved out of New York.  I find joy in the small ways we can spend time together – even if we are just sitting in the living room quietly!  This is one treat that I can’t appreciate enough!

Indulgences should be moderated and appreciated.  But a little decadence here and there certainly isn’t a bad thing!  So let yourself have too much of a good thing once in a while  and the results may indeed be wonderful!

Have a lovely week!

These are so gorgeous, love the pictures. I like indulging in books, music, art and museums. Laying around in bed and just taking in the day. Long times in the bath, candles. You need it really with children, haha. Otherwise, you’d be stressed all the time. Happy Monday doll, I hope it’s a gorgeous week for you Xxx

I think we all need to indulge sometimes…..

I rarely drink, but sometimes I like to indulge in a glass of champagne or a great margarita or some other great cocktail.

There are also morning where my husband will get up with the little one, and while I may wake up as well sometimes I like to just lay in bed— even if it is for 20 extra minutes and wake up slowly. This is definitely an indulgence now that I have a child!!

Champagne is such a wonderful indulgence! I hear you about having quiet time to yourself while the rest of the family is up!

Indulge. I kind of love that word, because I feel like it represents the most possible amount of enjoyment there could be. Shopping is definitely my biggest indulgement.

I love that quote at the beginning of your post – amen…it can be wonderful! Indulging comes to me in the form of great coffee and a weekend nap. Things have gotten a lot simpler.

I hear you Johanna! I can’t wait until the little one is older and I can indulge in weekend naps!

What a beautiful post! I love the shot of the headdress. Can you imagine? Indulgence to me these days is spending time in the pool, sans little children. They’re fun to have around of course, but it’s also nice to have the pool to yourself 🙂

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
