Are you an athletic person?

I’ll admit that I was never much of an athlete, particularly when it came to sports involving good hand eye coordination.  I have taken tennis lessons at different points of my life and still manage to serve the ball right at the net or spectacularly outside the court.  Sigh.

But at least I am comfortable with my abilities in a few non contact sports.  My mother wanted me to become a good swimmer not only so I could comfortably swim in open bodies of water, but also so I would have a chance of getting on the swim team (I never did get on though because our school’s swim team was the best in the city!)  I did end up joining track though and was a mid-distance runner.  I was never a sprinter in either sport, but did well at middle or longer distances.  I suppose those sports revealed not only my athletic abilities, but my personality as well.  I was never one to burst onto a scene or activity, but one who is patient and likes to take her time.  I’ve built solid friendships by getting to know people over leisurely chats, shared pizzas, and determined games of billiards.  So perhaps my athletic prowess also revealed someone with the patience and determination for the long haul?

What do your athletic abilities reveal about you?

Have a lovely week!

These are gorgeous pictures!! I never did sports in school because they didn’t have field hockey at my school and that’s what I liked to play. Other sports I can play, but I never played on a team. But, if there had been a field hockey team, I would have been on it. Sports is fun for fitness and having a good time. Happy Monday doll 🙂 xx

Omg, that third image is to die for. I won’t kid that I am not athletic but I definitely love to run…and watch World Cup!

I love the tennis inspired fashions even though I haven’t picked up a racket in years. I was a USTA tennis player and the competition was intense, made me lose my taste for tennis forever more.

I swam competitively for many years until a shoulder injury followed by shoulder injury sidelined me. I think the way I swam reflects my willingness to work hard and rise to an occasion. I wasn’t always the highest seeded swimmer, but I would pull off unexpected wins quite frequently….

Hope you had a good Malaysia run!

How cool! I didn’t know you were a competitive swimmer and yes, what an opportunity to rise to an occasion!

Very eye candy editorial! I am not a sports fanatic but I don’t mind playing them. However, we are big football aka soccer playing family and fans:)
