Fashion Highlight: A few favorite Sweater coats

There is something so comforting about a thick, soft, sweater.

Sweater coats are a great sartorial update on the classic crewneck sweater. I have a favorite long, black Jonathan Saunders for Target sweater coat that I would wear often during the cooler weather months or when traveling. The perfect sweater coat should be slouchy, but chic in a flattering cut. I love how it is made for layering and would wear my sweater coat as a standalone piece in the fall.

I first laid eyes on the Joie cardigan below and was instantly smitten. The exaggerated draping is downtown chic and works beautifully from the weekdays to the weekend. The simple ChicNova sweater coat also has a great classic print while the Taylor hoodie sweater coat is completely adorable (Paddington has nothing on this coat).
