Do you consider yourself to have a bohemian spirit?
While I’d love to say I am free spirited and throw caution to the wind as I face the world, well, that just wouldn’t be the truth. I would love to live freely, but find myself worrying more than I should about the mundane details of life – what foods to eat, what cleaners are safe enough for my baby, and what kind of cookies I should make for an upcoming party. I also used to be much more uptight and not be able to fully express my feelings.
Luckily, I am letting go, little by little. My true self is ever evolving. While I still stress out about the details, I am learning to be open and flexible with those around me. I am learning to get in touch with my emotions. I may not be a true bohemian yet, but I can admire and aspire to be a little more free spirited, especially in the new year. This little stress ball may not undergo a full metamorphosis, but at least I’m learning to have a little more fun.
