Fashion Highlight: Cat and bear ear hats at Shopbop

Some things in the fashion world border on ridiculous.

Yet there is something about some of those ridiculous pieces that are in fact ridiculously cute.  I was first intrigued by cat ear hats when I spied Eugenia Kim’s Caterina hat on Shopbop.  The dainty ears and structured cap were adorable and yet somehow refined.  My husband always calls me gato sometimes as well so I was really drawn to the cap (further evidence of cat loving: I already own two pairs of cat ear headbands and will completely subject my daughter to wearing the second pair when she gets older).

Then I got drawn in by Eugenia Kim’s Mimi hats with their flashier pom pom bear ears.  BabyGap actually had a miniature version of this that sold out pretty quickly and I was severely bummed I didn’t buy one in time.  So I went back to browsing Shopbop and I’m pretty committed to getting at least one of these hats.  Now I am just wondering if more than one is too much…
