What were your favorite moments from the Oscars this year?
I loved reading snippets of Patricia Arquette’s acceptance speech (wage equality for women – yes!) and of course looking at all the red carpet fashion on display. I was struck by the number of nude colored gowns as well as the lovely white gowns. All of the dresses of course fit divinely (looking at you Reese Witherspoon in Tom Ford and Anne Kendrick in Thakoon) or had some really interesting elements (Lupita’s Calvin Klein gown had thousands of pearls and best actress Julianne Moore’s Chanel gown had subtle, hand made sequin flowers). But even basic dresses got a boost from a piece of statement jewelry (ScarJo’s emeralds were simply stunning!) It was hard to pick a favorite but J. Lo’s nude princess Elie Saab was wonderful as was Rosamund Pike’s vibrant, scallop lace Givenchy gown.
It truly was a display of beauty and elegance, wasn’t it?

So Marion and Emma Stone were my dress favorites of the night. But I was totally loving the Zoe Saldana “I just gave birth to twins, now look at my amazing curves!” look.

Lupita’s dress was outstanding. It was my favorite hands down!
