It’s getting closer to June which means that wedding season is upon us again!
Of course, every wedding is special and should be celebrated. But my, all these weddings can be expensive, not just because of the gifts but because of out outfits as well. We may all be subject to “Ahh I’ve been seen/Facebook tagged in this dress already!” so we carefully rotate the dresses that we wear to different functions; I always do a mental check of the friends present at one wedding so I don’t rewear a dress in the next set of photographs we will all be present in for the next wedding.
Sometimes an attendance at a wedding is also an excuse to buy a new dress as well. It is after all spring – the days are longer, the mood is lighter and brighter so it’s a great time to look for a new, flirty dress that reflects this sentiment. So it’s always nice then to find dresses that are perfect for an occasion but are also beautiful on the budget as well.
I was looking through a few dresses for special occasions and thought these dresses would be perfect for a variety of spring weddings. A perfect wedding guest dress for a spring wedding is:
- Colorful and elegant (or darker and sexy depending on your mood!)
- Long enough for your comfort so it transitions from day to night if it is a longer affair
- Easy to twirl in for all the dancing
- Perfect for the venue (e.g. stripes may be great for a casual, beachside wedding while a brighter color would be fabulous for a daytime, garden wedding)

Sadly I have no weddings to attend this year, which I equate to having no valid reason to buy a cute new cocktail dress.
I’m not saying I wouldn’t buy one, just that I have no appropriate way to justify it.
