How to shop on Amazon and Amazon Prime Day fashion and beauty picks

I’m an Amazon fangirl.

Nope, they don’t know about me, except for my numerous orders.  But I just love the site for its selection and easy shipping. I first started shopping with them years ago when I first started working.  My colleague and I were both discovering a love for cooking (or at least the willingness to experiment and learn!)  We discovered so many fabulous Le Creuset deals on Amazon and bought quite a few sets of soup pots, baking dishes, and adorable fruit shaped sauce pots (which were sometimes free with purchase of another pot.)

These days, I shop at Amazon for everything else.  I became a prime household member with my brother (prime membership can be shared across two accounts so save money there!) and although I’m only in NY a few times a year, I love being a prime member.  It enables for quick and easy shipping when I am visiting and there is a fab extra discount for Subscribe & Save items which allowed me to get staples like Baby Lips lip balm to my daughter’s favorite Gerber yogurt snacks delivered automatically every few weeks. Today is the 15th anniversary of Amazon Prime and there are some extra great deals found here (check a specific item on the Prime deals page to see when the sale starts).

Here are some items to keep an eye on:

I also wanted to pass along a few tips for shopping on Amazon

  • Look for department promotions and plan ahead.  E.g. I loaded up on baby gifts when they offered a gift card with a certain $ spend.
  • Use a price tracker (like Camelcamelcamel) so you are notified when the item you’re looking for is discounted or put items in your cart and keep checking the cart daily
  • Compare apples to apples.  Sometimes an item like coconut oil is broken down to cost per ounce and sometimes it is broken down into a per bottle price if it comes in a pack.  Break down an item’s cost into the same units
  • Use Subscribe & Save when it makes sense to buy a few items at once.  Remember you can cancel anytime.

This Amazon Prime sale was all over the news! The hubs was quite excited about it, lol. I’ll have to look into the EOS and the cushions.

Great picks! I did not take advantage of this because it’s not worth it for me as a Prime member, but I love Le Creuset, and will hopefully get another one soon! 🙂 Thanks for sharing.

I love Amazon as well. It’s good to know that Prime membership can be shared across two accounts. We actually signed up for the trial last week.

You’ll have to let me how you like EJB! The fresh made tofu is a must. And the short rib cooked on the hot stone is so good as well.

I haven’t been too impressed with Prime Day, but I really like that pillow!

Ashley, seriously, I had to scroll through everything to find a few things I liked. I’m bummed that the prime items also sold out so quickly!

Great tips! Today was Prime Day for Amazon, and they had so many things on sale. I wish I had read this before shopping 🙂

Amazon does offer some of the best deals, but I’ve never been a prime member. It was a huge bummer when they raised the free shipping threshold to $35. Still, I almost always buy my shoes from amazon. (Though I still miss Endless).

Me too! I love Amazon, but I only buy books from them. I never knew there are so many neat stuff. Thank you so much for sharing!
