How to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

The Nordstrom Anniversary sale (from July 17 – August 2) is undisputedly one of the hottest sales of the year.

I only started shopping Nordstrom in recent years and just started paying more attention this year since I found a fabulous SA that gives great suggestions on best buys.  This is a great time to shop because new merchandise is 40% off for a few weeks and then goes back to regular price at the end of the sale period.

But with such a large selection, what is a great buy and what do you look for?

Here are my tips:

• Shop for autumn early by looking at boots and coats (the Mackage coat below is gorgeous and this is one of my favorite designers for wool and leather!)
• Look for essentials that are season less (shoe trees for the guys!)
• Check out beauty exclusive sets and deals (gold mine here with Charlotte Tilbury products to try and MAC brush sets!)
• Keep checking as items come back in stock  (those boots may come back in your size!)
