Do you have many plaid pieces in your closet?
I don’t have much plaid, except for a favorite green and black midi skirt that I love to wear during winter. I guess plaid just isn’t one of my go-to patterns, although I’m learning to love it more. That’s why I thought it was interesting that this print is the key pattern featured in Adam Lippes for Target. He was inspired by the classic pattern which he said “crosses the boundaries of fashion” appealing to a wide audience from socialites to hipsters. Buffalo plaid is a type of plaid that is strongly based on the square, rather than a specific pattern of alternating lines. I love how the square is outlined in a almost hand drawn, natural line. This also goes to Adam Lippes’ other inspiration for the collection – his home in the Berkshires set in the beautiful countryside situated in a town with beautiful, handmade wares.
