“I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning.”

It’s been a crazy, crazy, crazy last few weeks for me! My computer was almost officially dead the end of last week after I spilled water on it (it was scary). I flipped it over, left it off, and let it dry out for a few days. So good, so far because I’m using it now!
I also got through the 3 events I’ve been helping to plan for a few months. It was an intense 72 hours but I’m alive and actually a little numb. The bright part of my weekend is that I brought a little glamour and beauty into so many women’s lives! A part of one of my events was to give free makeovers and women were falling over themselves for it. They loved getting fresh makeovers and putting on lovely gowns for a few fashion photos. So I’m glad that I brought some smiles and confidence to them!
I was so used to working 12+ hours days and juggling so many things in the air. I’m going to take a breath now and breathe. I have to remember to use this opportunity to realign my priorities and specifically spend more time with my family. It’s always tricky balancing a busy professional life with the most important people in my life. But we are given a few fresh tries in our lives and I’ll take this one to say hi, get back to my daughter, and of course have a little fun.
Have a lovely week!
