Are you inspired by the home styles of celebrities?
Erin Fetherston’s Tribeca home is still one of my favorite celebrity homes. The elegant French armchairs and pink daybed have me swooning! I have a strong affinity for French chaises and settees – there is something so romantic about the curve in a beautiful armchair or the embellishment on the walls and corner. But I also love the look of midcentury furniture with its clean lines and minimalist touches. So I have strong love for a few different styles with pretty different looks! Now CB2 x Kravitz Design by Lenny Kravitz has caught my eye with its subtle 70s vibe, use of gold, and bold graphics.
I had heard of Kravitz Design a while ago, but somehow hadn’t really looked at the styles. Luckily I was randomly on the CB2 site the other day and took a closer look at these designs. As Lenny Kravitz says, “The collection crosses many different styles and environments, but everything is inspired by comfort…feeling good in your environment.”
I love furniture that is beautiful, but also very livable. If furniture is in your home everyday, it should be used and loved right? Some of the pieces are also really intelligently designed – the tray table has hidden storage and the bar is a corner bar, conserving space. I also love artists that become known in one area and then become designers as well. I’ll definitely want to take a look at this in the stores next time I’m near a CB2!
