I’ve recently fallen for illustrations. I’ve been finding a lot of illustrators on Instagram (I’m here) and love the light and life they bring to their pieces. My most recent discovery is French artist Damien Florébert Cuypers who creates crayon drawings of the most interesting scenes for magazines. He has done everything from a leisurely Agatha Christie musing on her next piece to scenes of editors and fashionistas at Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2016 for T Magazine.

Otherwise this weekend I am…
…seeing lots of friends, old and new! We are celebrating Labor Day so it’s a long weekend. I’ll be seeing a friend visiting from Japan, family visiting from Beijing, a Russian friend, and of course a good American friend. Whew – it will be busy! I’ll cook some simple Mexican food since my husband ordered 5 (seriously, 5) hot sauces and some cheese from the local Mexican grocery. It should be a fun weekend!
