J. Crew NYFW 2017
Have you seen the J.Crew NYFW 2017 collection? I was pretty enamored by this collection ever since I heard regular people from artists to J. Crew staff and photographers were the models. One of the models was even a 7 months pregnant J. Crew designer! But I also really liked the relaxed vibe of this collection. Every other showing was serious, but this seemed like a bunch of friends that were dressed up for a lovely party. I’m not sure I would buy a khaki evening gown though! Yet I still adore the soft texts and luxurious styling in this collection. The peek-a-boo polka dot underskirt is adorable as are the rich colors of the pajama style shirts.
Somsak, the women’s designer said, “The inspiration: Claire McCardell wrappings; the color spectrums of Cy Twombly paintings; wild, dreamy Piet Oudolf gardens…” What beautiful, dreamy inspiration!

…going to the F1/Formula 1 Grand Prix. My husband was curious about seeing Adam Lambert for Queen on stage. We aren’t racing aficionados, but my husband does love music! It will be interesting seeing a modern singer pair with such an iconic group.

This collection is bomb imo! I love how unexpected the aesthetic combos are – a utility shirt coupled with a hot pink pencil skirt? yes please!

I fell in love with the skirts in this collection. The embellishments and ruffles are so gorgeous. Hope you guys had fun. Lambert is a great singer and Queen is an awesome group. Don’t see how much could go wrong there.

Kim, I didn’t know much about Adam Lambert and Queen but WOW. It was such a great live performance and of course many songs are classic.
