If you grew up in NYC, you most likely have visited Coney Island in the summer. This iconic spot at the Southernmost tip of Brooklyn is the perfect spot for lounging on the beach, strolling down the boardwalk, or visiting a few amusement parks like the iconic Cyclone. I thought it was a great adventure to ride the F train all the way down to get to the famed Wonder Wheel.
I’m glad we got to bring the kids to visit this famous place AND eat at Nathan’s on the boardwalk (they open at 10:30 am!) I love seeing the Coney Island summer rides by Daehyuk Kim. He captures minimalist shots around the amusement park capturing a catapult in mid-swing or a roller coaster going upside down.

Otherwise, this weekend I am…
…catching up. I am still studying for my certification in bouts of free time and catching up on some reading. I’m also finally visiting Instagram a little more (I’m here) and getting ideas for future trips. Seoul was great and while everyone had a good time, we came back with colds (which started before our trip). So I’ll be happy to take it easy and pump up the vitamins. The littlest one was especially hard hit so we want to make sure he recovers and gets back his appetite!

I grew up in NYC and I didn’t visit Coney Island until I was an adult. I Have to say I wasn’t impressed at all but that’s not really my type of scene. I’ve heard it’s quite different now but it still doesn’t picque my or my husban’d curiosity at all.
That looks like so much fun, I haven’t been to an amusement park this summer and I really do like to go at least once. Sorry you all have colds, hope you have a swift recovery!
