Are you someone that is always on the go? Would you rather be out on the town or quietly catch up on a favorite show? Admittedly, I am (or used to be) someone that always had to be moving. I wasn’t content simply sitting on a beach during vacation. I had to see every famous site and eat at every hotspot or famed local eatery.  Even when I had time off, I liked to spend it exploring town to trying something new. I thought boredom was a bad thing so I sought to fill up my time.

Of course that changed over time.  I definitely learned that I couldn’t plan and accomplish everything after becoming a mom.  Little ones don’t understand the concept of time or priorities.  They are simply serene doing whatever they are doing and live in the moment. When I saw this editorial of Hedvig Palm in UK Harper’s Bazaar UK December 2016, I at first thought there was an air of boredom. But I have come to think she has a sense of serenity instead.  She may not be attending a gala, but she is still content wearing her beautiful gowns.

It has made me appreciate the quiet moments as well.  This morning, we were running a little late and I was getting frazzled I couldn’t get everything done in time. My little one walked over to me and without prompting, announced that she loved me. I’ll certainly remember to appreciate the serene and unexpected moments.

Have a lovely week!

There definitely has to be a balance. Too much of anything is not good.

I love this editorial. It’s so regal 😀
