FFF – J. Crew NYFW Fall Winter 2017 and farmer’s market visits

February 17, 2017

Happy Fun, Free Friday lovelies!

J. Crew NYFW Fall Winter 2017

J. Crew’s NYFW fashion week presentation is always pone of my favorites.  The clothes are not only wearable, but affordable and the models are in a variety of ages, sizes and shades.  One of my new Instagram friends was even a model (I’m here on Instagram – let’s connect!) It was an interesting collection and designer Somsack said the inspiration blended old and new schools of design.  Classic Scottish symbols from plaids and kilts to Balmoral Castle were reinvented in brighter colors, prints like camouflage, and tulle.  I’m loving the chambray skirt and it’s a piece I could see myself wearing for a while.

Otherwise, this weekend I am…

…taking it easy in San Francisco. We will do some light shopping around Union Square and get to the  Ferry Building Farmer’s Market. It’s pretty big on Saturdays which mean more food options for us.  I’ll definitely grab some macarons and a tasty lunch.  We will also try to see as many friends and family as possible, but it can be tricky balancing everything so we’ll see.

What are you up to this weekend?

Have a lovely weekend!

I agree, while I don’t own any J Crew clothes, I have always found them to be very wearable, will never run out of trend and very casual chic.

I can appreciate j.crew’s blend of preppy and whimsy, and I’m glad that leopard fur coats, tulle and velvet aren’t going anywhere too soon!
